Jose Gimenez has ended speculation he wants to leave Atletico Madrid.
The Uruguayan centre-back has been a target for Chelsea for some time.
Speaking last year, Gimenez talked up his affection for the west London club, and in particular, former manager Frank Lampard.
But after the LaLiga title this week, Gimenez wants to stay with Atleti.
"I'm not leaving Atlético Madrid this summer. I've no doubt, I'm staying," he said via Carrusel Deportivo after the club's title celebrations.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel can now turn his attention to other targets as he looks to bolster his backline this summer.
Wolfsburg youngster Marcel Lacroix and Napoli stalwart Kalidou Koulibaly are just two names being considered by Tuchel.
