England boss Gareth Southgate was unhappy with Jordan Henderson taking a penalty off Dominic Calvert-Lewin against Romania on Sunday.
With his side leading 1-0, Calvert-Lewin won a spot-kick after being fouled by Vlad Chiriches.
The Everton striker picked up the ball and looked set to take the spot-kick until Henderson took it off.
Henderson missed the resulting penalty, and Southgate says the incident won't happen again.
Southgate told ITV: "We had Marcus Rashford on penalties then James Ward-Prowse but both came off.
"We expected Dominic Calvert-Lewin to take it and I was expecting Hendo to go over to him and let him take it. We will pull rank next time."
