Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon is backing Manchester United's move for Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.
The Scot is being linked with United this week.
“John McGinn was brilliant for me at Hibs," Lennon told The Times. “I loved him. When he went you could see the team wasn't the same without him.
“He's not crash, bang, wallop now, he's kicked on. He's got another big move in him. I think John could play for a top six team without any difficulty.
“He could play for Man United with their midfield because he breaks the lines, he goes past people. His engine is unbelievable, his will to win is good, and he's got goals in him.
“He's got a big backside on him. Nothing wrong with that. I had one, Kenny Dalglish had one, so he's in good company. He's so powerful in the core, stomach and thighs. He's built for physical, heavy duty, hard rock football.
“He's dynamic, he's got a great left foot and his passing's good. Aston Villa got him for, what, £3 million?
"They could sell him for £40m to £50m now. I hope he has a big tournament. It won't faze him, put it that way. I wouldn't be surprised if his best game is against England."
