Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale says being involved in the media and creating a profile holds no interest to him.
Before last night's Euro 2020 defeat to Italy, Bale was asked by VG about how he felt he was portrayed by the media.
The Wales captain, who was on-loan at Tottenham last season, replied: "Yes, no one knows who I am in the media. I like to keep it that way. I'm sure people have their opinions based on what they've read and what people write about me. But I know who I am.
"I'm obviously not the person people write about. I'm just a normal person who likes to joke and laugh with his friends. So I do not really care what people think of me or what they write. I am who I am, and I am comfortable with that
"Honestly, I do not care. This is not about me. This is about Wales and the match tomorrow. I do not care what people think of me. That's how it is. The only thing I care about is doing my best for Wales. I do not like to say much more than that."
