Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone has attracted an approach from West Ham.
Calciomercato.com says West Ham have had a loan with an option to buy offer turned down by Cagliari for Simeone.
A bid from the Hammers for the 25-year-old was turned down.
Giovanni, son of Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, scored six goals in 33 appearances last season.
The Argentine helped Cagliari beat the drop when they appeared down just a month out from the end of the season.
