Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel hailed Denmark's 4-1 victory over Euro 2020 opponents Russia.
The result sets up a round of 16 tie with Wales.
Schmeichel said, "It was a great evening. It showed what football can do and what football can do to a nation. We are just happy and happy that we have been able to give something back to football, Denmark and the whole country.
"We have all been through a very turbulent and emotional roller coaster here the last 10-12 days, so to be able to come in here and feel the support that we also did against Finland and Belgium, and then be able to give them the victory this time, it is euphoria, it's amazing."
