Newcastle United star Allan Saint-Maximin should stay at the club this summer.
That is the opinion of former Liverpool star John Barnes, who played 407 times for the Anfield club.
Saint-Maximin has showed his attacking talents in the past two seasons, helping Newcastle avoid relegation from the Premier League on both occasions.
"Saint-Maximin played a big part in Newcastle staying up," conceded Barnes, per Chronicle Live, while adding "however he is at the right club for him because they give him the ball and say 'do what you want'.
"He won't be able to do that at a big club, he will have to play in a system.
"He can do what he wants at Newcastle, dribble when he wants and they won't criticise him.
"Saint-Maximin won't be able to do that at a bigger club so I can't see him going to one of the big six."
