Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskaer has held private talks with French striker Anthony Martial.
The mercurial attacker endured a poor season by his standards last term, despite United finishing second in the Premier League and reaching the Europa League final.
With United close to signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, the Express claims Solskjaer spoke with Martial about his future at the club.
The Norwegian told the club's board in May that he sees Martial as an important player moving forward.
He believes the addition of Sancho enhances their attack, but not enough to justify selling Martial.
Solskjaer has assured Martial of his place in the first team squad for next season.
