Everton great Neville Southall has slammed the "witch hunt" against England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford throughout the 2020/21 campaign.
The 27-year-old received a lot of criticism throughout the season, not least for a challenge which ruled Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk out for the rest of the season in October.
Neville told talkSPORT: “I think there was an incredible witch hunt against Jordan Pickford throughout the season by the media, and I think it was totally uncalled for.
“I think it was absolutely disgraceful.
“As soon as you get an England shirt everyone absolutely hates you for some reason.
"I find that an incredibly stupid attitude."
