Stoke City hero Jonathan Walters has urged Everton fans to get behind the appointment of Rafa Benitez.
Benitez's Liverpool ties have sparked a huge backlash from the Blues support.
But Walters is backing the move, posting to social media: "Appointing @rafabenitezweb is a master stroke at a time when a building project at Everton is much needed. His obsession and knowledge of football is unparalleled.
"He's managed all over the world since Liverpool but his family haven't moved.
"Right person. Right club. Right time."
