Everton chairman Bill Kenwright still has a very high opinion of former manager Roberto Martinez.
The current Belgian national team coach was in charge at Everton several years ago, eventually getting the sack in 2016.
The Goodison Park club has any animosity or ill will towards Martinez.
And most importantly, according to The Athletic, Toffees chairman Kenwright is still a fan of the Spaniard.
He is among the managers being linked with the club's head coaching job, given the sudden departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid.
Everton will be hoping to build on a relatively successful campaign that saw them competing for a European spot until the final day of the season.
