Cahill addressed Australia's players and staff in Kuwait City via video conference, helping to present caps to Australia's three newest Socceroos – Denis Genreau (cap #610), Connor Metcalfe (cap #611), and Ruon Tongyik (cap #612).
Cahill's presence and words created a special moment for Genreau, 22, Metcalfe, 21, and Tongyik, 24, as the young A-League-based players received recognition from an Australian sporting great. The presentation was made before Australia's World Cup qualifying victory over Nepal in Kuwait.
