Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp made the call to cancel a deal for Schalke defender Ozan Kabak.

BILD says Klopp 'cancelled' the transfer of Kabak from Schalke to Liverpool.

The defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Liverpool and the Reds had an option to make his stay permanent.

However, Klopp reportedly decided against that option and instead opted to buy Ibrahima Konate.

Schalke were hoping the centre-back's performances for Liverpool could convince them to retain him, but 'Jurgen Klopp cancelled it'.

However, the report goes on to claim that both Leicester City and Newcastle United are interested in signing the Turkish international this summer.
