Takumi Minamino could yet stay with Liverpool if other attackers are move on this summer.

The Liverpool Echo says no decision has to be taken on Takumi Minamino's next step following his loan spell at Southampton.

Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has indicated a willingness to retain the Japan international beyond his short-term stay on the south coast, however.

Liverpool will consider keeping the Japan international if either Divock Origi or Xherdan Shaqiri depart this summer.

Shaqiri has been a transfer target for a handful of teams across the last few windows but opted to stay put in October amid interest from clubs in Italy.

Origi endured a difficult campaign with just one goal and 17 appearances across the season.
