Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is delighted to join Italy's Euros squad after winning the Champions League on Saturday.
Jorginho says he arrives full of confidence.
“Each of us will bring so much energy and enthusiasm into the tournament," he told RAI Sport.
“It's not just about what I achieved with my club, but this is also my first major competition with Italy and I really want to do well.
“Italy suffered so much during the pandemic and I think this sport can bring some joy back to the people. We hope to give that to our fans this summer.
“At moments like the Champions League Final, I close my eyes and think back to everything I went through to follow my dream and reach this point."
Jorginho was born in Brazil, but moved to Italy to join the Hellas Verona youth academy.
“I feel that I've got the Brazilian technique with the ball, but the Italian mentality to always train hard and win."
