Southampton have sent young defender Kayne Ramsay on loan to Crewe Alexandra.
The 20-year-old will spend the entire campaign with the League One team that finished 12th last term.
Ramsay, who has been with the Saints since joining from Chelsea in 2017, has played two senior games for the club.
He was involved in the 9-0 loss to Manchester United and the 3-0 FA Cup win over Bournemouth.
A statement on Saints website said: "The club would like to wish Kayne all the best for the season ahead."
