Tottenham midfielder Steven Bergwijn is being linked with Ajax.
Tottenham, however, are keen for Bergwijn to start pre-season with Mourinho's successor, which now looks likely to be Nuno Espirito Santo, says the Daily Mail.
Spurs are expected to want their money back should Bergwijn depart north London, a fee that would represent a significant outlay for Ajax.
The Holland international is aware he requires regular game time in the hope of forcing a way back into Frank De Boer's squad after missing out on the European Championship.
Bergwijn became one of Jose Mourinho's first signings when Spurs paid PSV Eindhoven around £27million for him in January last year.
