Arsenal have begun making plans to replace Granit Xhaka.

The Gunners are locked in talks with Roma over a transfer for the Swiss midfielder.

It is believed Roma will part with around £17m and Xhaka will sign a long-term contract with his new club.

The move has left Mikel Arteta looking at a replacement.

And according to Voetbal 24, Gunners legend Thierry Henry has recommended Anderlecht whizkid Albert Sambi Lokonga to his old club.

The Belgium Under-21 has also caught the eye of AC Milan after 16 first team appearances under Vincent Kompany this season.

The consensus is Arsenal will replace Xhaka with Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, but they could pursue Lokonga as one for the future.
