Arsenal may have already given up on young centre-back William Saliba.
The Frenchman was due to get a real chance with the first team during preseason and in the early parts of the upcoming season.
However, a report in French outlet L'Equipe states that manager Mikel Arteta does not rate Saliba and would be happy to sell the centre-back.
The 20-year-old could be on his way out as Arsenal have made a big money offer for Brighton defender Ben White.
The Gunners have failed with an opening offer of £40m for the 23-year-old.
But they are expected to return with an increased bid as Albion hold for £50m.
