The Athletic reports Saliba will be given a fair crack of the whip this summer at Arsenal - regardless of whether Mikel Arteta signs White. The Frenchman spent the second half of last season on loan at Nice, where he rebuilt his confidence and sent a clear message to his parent club.

The Brighton centre-half has been excellent this season and forced his way into Gareth Southgate's thinking.
Arsenal are clearly aware that his stock could be set to rise at the European Championship, where he could play a part for the Three Lions.
However, even if White does arrive at the club, Saliba is set to be given a chance to impress in pre-season.
