Brighton are emerging as the most likely team to sign Independiente winger Alan Velasco.
According to Football Insider, the Albion are preparing a new offer for the player, as they had a £6 million bid rejected.
Newcastle United are also interested in the player, who is only 18 years old.
Velasco may be young, but he is seen as one of the most promising playmakers in South America.
He has a contract with Independiente until January 2023.
