Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is excited about signing for Barcelona.
Aguero completed a free transfer from Manchester City on Monday and became Barcelona's first signing of the 2021/22 season.
"We hope to play together, but we've been negotiating for some time," Aguero said in his presentation on his companion.
"But they are his decisions with the club. It's a pleasure and I'm proud to play together, I lived with him and know him quite well.
"I think that yes, he will stay. I talk to him every day, but I can't say what we talk about. He congratulated me.
"I've known him since I was a boy, training with him every day... In the national team it's only sometimes, here every day."
Even if Lionel Messi were to depart, it wasn't to taken anything away from the moment for the former Manchester City man.
"I'm very happy. I'll try to give my best to help the team to win important titles," Aguero added.
"It's a great joy, it's the best team in the world.
"As a boy, I said that one day they would look at me, and here I am, I never imagined it. When the opportunity came, anyone would come running.
"When Barcelona called me, I didn't doubt, I don't want any other team, I only want Barcelona."
However, the centre forward would not be drawn on the future appointment of a coach.
"It's not my topic. The club will take a decision, I have no right to an opinion," Aguero responded when asked about the topic.
"I haven't spoken to Koeman."
