Former Everton boss Marco Silva is in the frame for the West Brom job.

Football Insider says West Brom have lined up Silva as a fall-back option in case talks with Valerien Ismael collapse.

The Barnsley manager has emerged as the latest frontrunner in the Baggies' lengthy managerial hunt but a deal is not yet agreed.

A West Brom source says the club have also been in contact with Silva.

The Portuguese, 43, has not returned to management since being sacked by Everton in December 2019 when the Blues were in the Premier League relegation zone.

He was linked with the vacancy at Sheffield Wednesday last season but at the time it was suggested that he was not prepared to drop down to the Championship.
