Arsenal are closing on a deal for Brighton defender Ben White.
The Athletic reports Arsenal have offered Brighton a deal worth £45m, with the potential addition of £5m in further add-ons.
No other club has made a formal offer, the report goes on to say.
Liverpool have also been linked with the England international.
Liverpool have already added Ibrahima Konate to their ranks from RB Leipzig, so the chances of them bringing in another central defender was always going to be unlikely.
