Everton midfielder Jean-Phillipe Gbamin hopes to take part in preseason this summer.
The Liverpool Echo says Gbamin missed the majority of last season before making his comeback to the delight of Everton fans.
However, his time in the side lasted no longer than a week after suffering medial ligament damage in a training ground incident with Lucas Digne.
Everton confirmed the Ivorian would not require surgery but could not play a part in the remainder of the season.
Gbamin is aiming to join his teammates for pre-season training and posted an injury update to his Instagram page on Sunday.
He wrote: "Preparation, work continues."
