Sheffield United have added two former Arsenal prospects to their academy squad.

The Examiner reports Sydie Peck, a talented midfielder with an excellent range of passing, loves to get on the ball and dictate play.

He will follow in the footsteps of another former Gunner, Will Lankshear, in making the move from north London to Shirecliffe.

The Blades coaching staff are understandably excited about his arrival and feel they have another player with the potential to make the step up at Bramall Lane.

He was one of the last academy signings that Chris Wilder sanctioned a move for shortly before his departure, with a compensation fee, believed to be in the region of £150,000, needed.

The investment underlines the belief in his potential.

Peck has also represented Wales at under 18 level.

Lankshear, also 16, arrived earlier in the year and signed scholarship forms.
