Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is keen to play alongside Manchester City's John Stones for England.
With the Czech Republic next in the Euros, the pair could be the starting centre-half pairing.
The duo were the first-choice combination for England at the World Cup three years ago.
Maguire said, “John had a great season at Manchester City and he has carried that form into the early stages of this tournament.
“We grew up not far from each other and played in the same youth team tournaments with Barnsley and Sheffield United, so we are good friends and is a pleasure to play alongside."
