Former Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has emerged as a new candidate for the troubled Tottenham post.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is scrambling for a new manager after suffering multiple rejections - and also pulling out of talks with former Fiorentina coach Rino Gattuso in the last 48 hours.
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says the latest name being considered is Valverde.
For the moment, only tentative contact with Valverde's camp has been made, but the Spaniard is now on Levy's radar.
Valverde hasn't been in work since his dismissal by Barcelona - when top of the table - in January 2020.
