Chelsea forward Kai Havertz claims players at the club in the England and German squads are exchanging messages with each other.
The two historic rivals are set to play in the round of 16 of Euro 2020 at Wembley on Tuesday.
Havertz, Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger are Chelsea players in the German side, while the likes of Reece James, Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell are in the England squad.
Havertz said in a recent press conference: "Timo, Toni, and I get on very well with the three Chelsea players [in the England squad], so there is always contact
"It's clear that you sometimes have a chat or two before the game.
"It's not like we're in contact every day, but before a game like this, you sometimes write each other text messages."
