Roma coach Jose Mourinho has jumped to the defence of Wolves defender Nelson Semedo.
Mourinho says Semedo is being blamed for Portugal's defensive problems so far at the Euros.
He told The Sun: "In Portugal, everyone blames Nélson Semedo for Portugal having lost to Germany, because the goals came from his side.
"But the situation would have been the same, whoever was right-back. It was not Semedo's fault, but the situation in which Semedo was placed."
Portugal next face France needing victory to reach the round of 16.
