Atletico Madrid great Kiko can understand Zinedine Zidane's controversial open letter after his resignation from Real Madrid.
Zidane accused Real management of forgetting his past achievements and also failing to show the necessary confidence in him last season.
Kiko said, "I was surprised by what Zinedine Zidane has swallowed. He appeared at a delicate moment and is within his right to feel supported.
"A little affection has been missing."
Former Real Madrid player Alvaro Benito also said: "It happens one hundred percent of the time except with certain coaches who have authority. Zidane, among them. Being a legend of the club as a player has a plus. I don't think they have those intrusions, those messages to their water line.
"Klopp, Guardiola, Simeone ... If they saw something like that they would make the same decision. The rest of us mortals are something else and you have to accept the rules as they are."
