Manchester United legend Gary Pallister wants the club to splash the cash on Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
The England captain reportedly told his club he wants a transfer this summer, with United, Manchester City and Chelsea linked with his signature.
The 27-year-old is one of the most prolific scorers in the game, and ex-center back Pallister believes he would give United the necessary qualities to win the Premier League.
Pallister told Metro.co.uk: "Listen, Harry Kane is up for grabs, isn't he?
"What a statement it would be if Manchester United were able to get hold of him. It seems to me that Man City are favourites, Harry has talked about how he'd love to play with De Bruyne, so we've got a good idea of what he's thinking.
"But if Manchester United could sign him, what a statement."
