Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has welcomed new manager Rafa Benitez.
Pickford said he received a phone call from his new boss on Wednesday evening.
The 27-year-old backed Benitez to be a success at Everton, highlighting his impressive trophy haul to date and desire to win.
“You have seen his career," said England No1 Pickford. "The amount of trophies he has won, his desire to win matches every time.
“He rang me last night. It was good to speak to him.
“He said, 'Enjoy the tournament, do well for England and I'll see you when you get back'."
