Nuno Espirito Santo has echoed the words of former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino after taking over at the London club.
Santo is the new Spurs boss after an extensive search to replace Jose Mourinho, who lost his job in April.
At one stage, Spurs were even linked to Pochettino, but he was not let out of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
Nuno hopes he can set aside the doubts of some supporters and succeed at the North London outfit in the coming years.
"It is an honour for me to address you, Spurs fans, I'm so happy to be here," he said, per the Evening Standard.
"My promise to you: we're gonna make you proud. We're gonna make you proud."
Pochettino told the club's YouTube channel in 2014: "We will try everything to make you proud of this football club."
