Manchester United defender Luke Shaw wants to start the new Premier League season after suffering a rib injury.
The English star was revealed to have suffered the injury on duty for his country during Euro 2020.
He continued to play in the competition, scoring in the final as England lost on penalties to Italy.
Per The Guardian, the 26-year-old is optimistic he can be available for United when they take on Leeds United at Old Trafford on August 14th.
If he is not fit, left back Alex Telles will likely take his place in the team.
United also have youngster Brandon Williams who can play both right and left back.
