Kota Kinabalu: Ten out of the 69 people who fled from Kg Pondo at Pulau Gaya on Tuesday have been recaptured while working.

The 10 fishmongers and market workers were arrested Wednesday, said Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali.

He said the 69 who fled Pulau Gaya were wanted as they were close contacts of Covid-19 patients and were supposed to meet health officials for further swab tests and quarantine.

“Some might have been tested positive but the Health Department knows better on this,” Hazani said when contacted.
