Denmark and Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg says that Jordan Henderson not starting for England shows their strength in depth at Euro 2020.

The Three Lions are in the semi finals of the competition, where they take on the Danes on Wednesday at Wembley.

Both teams are vying for a spot in Sunday's final where they will play Italy.

Henderson, who is Liverpool captain, recovered from a long term injury at the start of the competition and has been eased back in by manager Gareth Southgate.

"England's squad is fantastic. Their midfield as well and the guys that also aren't playing from the start," Hobjerg told reporters, per the Liverpool Echo.

"When you are able to bring on a Jordan Henderson, I think it is a big stamp of quality.

"We, Denmark, will try our best to do what it takes to bring the victory on our side but we also know the strengths of England. We have great respect for them and are ready to give them a big, big fight."
