The Japanese midfielder tasted first team football for the first time yesterday in Barca's 4-0 defeat of Nastic at the Mini Estadi.
The attacker was in the second-half starting line-up, playing his first 45 minutes in the Cules' first preseason clash. Abe spent last season with Barca's B team in the Segunda B Division.
