West Ham United scored their first win of the pre-season with a hard-earned 2-1 victory at Northampton Town on Tuesday evening.
The Hammers went ahead inside two minutes thanks to an own goal from Northampton defender Sid Nelson.
Republic of Ireland U21 star Conor Coventry made it 2-0 eleven minutes later when he finished off Manuel Lanzini's assist from outside the penalty area.
The Cobblers pulled a goal back through Sam Hoskins before half-time.
