Lens will welcome a tidy windfall from Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane's move to Manchester United.
It was confirmed last night by both clubs that Varane will be leaving Real Madrid for United.
United are paying a fee rising to €50m for the 28 year-old, who was inside the final year of his Real Madrid contract.
Marca says Lens will be due 2.5 per cent of the fee, so around €1.2m will soon enter the French club's coffers.
Varane left Lens for Real Madrid in 2011 for a fee of €10m.
