Manchester City are moving to upgrade the contract of Ruben Dias.
The Portugal defender only joined City a year ago from Benfica and went onto to win the Premier League's Player of the Year as he helped the club finish the campaign champions.
Dias has a deal with City until 2026, however the Athletic reports talks over a new arrangement are underway.
City intend to up the terms for Dias as a reward for the success of his debut season in England.
John Stones, Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Ederson are also in line for new deals.
