Aston Villa have made an offer for Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
The Athletic reports Southampton have rejected a £25million bid from Aston Villa for England international Ward-Prowse.
The Saints would be looking to obtain a significantly higher fee for the set-piece expert.
While it is stressed this is not in relation to the future of Jack Grealish, it does suggest that Villa are prepared to spend big this summer to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign.
