Tony Mowbray has confirmed Ben Brereton is on his way back to Blackburn Rovers after Copa America.
English-born Brereton made five appearances at the South American tournament for his adopted country.
"He's on his way back, he's in an amber country at the moment. He flew from Brazil to Chile, Chile to an amber country and then he'll spend two weeks there and be back training with us," Mowbray said of Brereton, via the Lancashire Telegraph.
"It fits in nicely to be able to go to a country he can get some sun on his back and relax."
