Olympique Marseille are happy with the progress of transfer talks with Arsenal for William Saliba.
OM are in negotiations to take Saliba on-loan for the new season and wish to include a permanent option in the deal.
Saliba also has interest from the Premier League, but favours a return to France.
An unnamed OM director confirmed to La Provence: "Negotiations are underway".
OM are due to confirm a similar deal for Saliba's Arsenal teammate Matteo Guendouzi. The midfielder is currently in Marseille to finalise the move.
