Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden is a target for Southampton.
The Sun says Saints want more power in their ranks and fancy destroyer Hayden, who is available for around £10million from Toon.
Hayden, 26, played 24 Premier League matches last term but could move away to play more often.
His place in manager Steve Bruce's side was already under threat and new arrivals would make it even harder for him to play in future.
