KUALA LUMPUR – Residents in enhanced movement control order (EMCO) areas are allowed to travel three in a car, including the driver, to receive their Covid-19 vaccine or seek medical attention, said Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.

He said the residents involved only need to show proof of the appointment on the MySejahtera app, webpage or SMS to security personnel on duty in the field.

“For emergency cases like sickness or death, approval to travel will be given on a case-by-case basis,” he said in a statement.

Acryl reminded Malaysians to comply with the standard operating procedures of Phase 1 of movement control under the National Recovery Plan and to play their part in flattening the Covid-19 infection curve.

Yesterday, the government announced that the EMCO will be enforced in most areas of Selangor and certain localities in Kuala Lumpur from tomorrow till July 16. – Bernama, July 2, 2021
