Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez is happy working with coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Nacho has just extended his contract to 2023.
He said of his new coach: “He's a fantastic coach. He's managed great clubs. In fact we won the Champions League for the first time with this group of players. We've got some massive challenges ahead of us. We want to win trophies, which is what is required at this club. And we have the responsibility to do so. The players are delighted that Ancelotti is back.
“These weeks and months are essential in relation to what lies ahead. You have to prepare well and gain strength. You really need to go through the pain barrier now to hit the ground running."
On staying with Real Madrid, he added: “It's a dream. When you're a kid you dream about playing for the club of your dreams, and for me that's Real Madrid. I dreamt about playing a game and now I've been here for so many years that I've gained so much strength and desire to keep performing well.
"Of course, every game that I play in is still a dream come true for me."
