Roberto D'Aversa has been named new coach of Sampdoria.
The former Parma boss replaces Claudio Ranieri who walked away from Sampdoria after coming off contract.
“UC Sampdoria can confirm that Roberto D'Aversa has been appointed as the new coach of the first team," the club's official statement reads.
“D'Aversa has signed a contract running through to 30 June 2023.
“Massimo Ferrero and everyone at Sampdoria would like to welcome D'Aversa to the club."
