Leeds and Crystal Palace should learn about their chances of signing Conor Gallagher from Chelsea in the coming week.
The Daily Mail reports the Blues are still deciding whether to release Gallagher for a loan move or to integrate him into the first team squad.
Newcastle United are also credited with an interest in the central midfielder.
Gallagher was outstanding at West Bromwich Albion last season, while Chelsea do see him as having a future at the club.
If Leeds were to secure Gallagher, he would join former Chelsea teammate Lewis Bate, who signed permanently for the Elland Road club.
