Former Liverpool forward Paul Stewart does not believe they should pursue the signing of Raphinha from Leeds United.

The 24-year-old has impressed in his first season in the Premier League with the Elland Road club, under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

Given Liverpool play a similar high octane style, many pundits believe the winger would fit in with Jurgen Klopp's team.

"For me, he's not Liverpool standard," the former Reds forward told Transfer Tavern.

"I think he's a great player, don't get me wrong, but I don't think you're getting anything better in terms of [Sadio] Mane, [Roberto] Firmino and [Mohamed] Salah."
